About Naomi
Journey
It all began with a dream whilst I was in south India. Of a shining silver tree, its boughs curling, caressing one another, hanging from a chain, made by my hands to entice my mother to travel with me in these far away lands. I woke up, drew my vision, and set of on a quest to make this jewel. I met a green-eyed Kashmiri silversmith, who, over weeks, gave me his tuition in jewellery making. The end result was a beautiful golden tree, made from over fifty filigree swirls, patiently soldered together in hundreds of places. My mum never came to India. However, the gift I received from following my dream, has been years of a deep love for this ancient craft. I’ve travelled many countries soaking up different techniques, embarked on a degree to further understand my practice, and now find myself in the ancient oak forests of Eryri, shadowed by mountains and moss. Inspired by the land I now live in, my jewellery encompasses fairy tales, worship of nature, reflections from cultures long lived past, but not forgotten. From weaves, to granulation ~ shimmering labradorites, who’s essence is the aurora borealis, deep hued rhodolite’s, who’s formation happened bygones ago. My jewellery is timeless, and it is all created by my hand. I enjoy the slower, traditional methods of silversmithing that produce sturdy, lasting and unique pieces, and I choose this over the allure of casting or wax, because my heart desires it, because my dreams were made for fine jewellery
Home
Naomi's studio is in her home in Eryri, at the base of Cnicht. She has two small children, chickens, two dogs and a loving partner. Naomi is also a keen home herbalist, has a small herbal tea company, and offers medicinal foraging walks to groups.

I believe that jewellery is a timeless expression of love and affection. Its an opportunity to encapsulate a moment of life, an honouring of relationship, be it for marriage, death, birth ~ Your daughter, your mother, you friend. When you commission me to create you a bespoke piece of jewellery, I want to hear your story, why do you want this piece made, who is this piece for, what is their story. You can share as little or as much as you like, and I will be able to piece together your intentions, and form them into multiple designs, which you can then choose from. A unique set of drawings, created from your expression, a one of a kind sentiment. We will dive into the exquisite world of materials and we will discover what stones sing to your story, perhaps a piece of fine opal jewellery. Your bespoke piece will be handcrafted, and if you chose, I will keep you updated throughout the process. Allow up to 5 weeks for your unique piece of fine jewellery
